A special tour of the Vatican for kids and children only
THIS TOUR CAN ALSO BE AN EARLY MORNING VATICAN TOUR FOR KIDS ENTERING BEFORE THE CROWDS
If you think a tour of the Vatican for your children is not going to excite them, then think again.
No trip to Rome is complete without visiting it and don't be afraid of introducing the history of the Vatican to your kids.
The best approach is to concentrate on some highlights in the Museums like admire a hand-made tapestry decorated with bees, look for Italy on a 400-year-old map then reach the Sistine Chapel and gasp at the huge figures painted by Michelangelo.
View below a video of Sal in the Sistine Chapel with two young visitors.
The St. Peter's Basilica is gigantic, as long as two football fields, the names of shorter churches are all over the floor; hundreds of columns, statues, a golden skeleton and the real bodies of Popes are displayed.
We are also including a stop at Castel Sant'Angelo, so popular with the children as it combines an ancient tomb, a fortress, a prison, a castle, torture chambers and a museum, topped by a spectacular view of Rome and the Vatican.
Duration: 4 hours . On Mondays the Castle St. Angelo is closed and can be substituted with a climb up to the Dome of Saint Peter's Basilica. A tour of the Vatican Gardens by bus can also be added to your tour. Please let us know if you're interested!
