Highly recommend Walks Inside Rome and this tour! The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and passionate! The only way to see the Vatican/Sistine Chapel is this private tour. The crowds are crazy and skipping the lines with someone who knew how to navigate inside relieved the stress. Walks inside Rome were wonderful! Very responsive and made great suggestions.

Terrific customer service and terrific tours. I corresponded with WIR for several months ahead of a March 2024 trip to Rome, discussing options for various tours, and they were always responsive, polite, informative, flexible, and helpful. Ultimately we booked two tours: a private early morning tour for 8 persons for the Vatican museums and St. Peter's (3 hours, kid-friendly) and a private 4 person Caravaggio painting workshop. Both were excellent. The tour guide for the Vatican museums and St. Peters spoke excellent English and was magnificent with the kids, helping to guide us through an incredibly crowded, hectic museum environment while also introducing, explaining, and contextualizing the museum and key pieces. She had just the right touch in knowing how much information the kids could absorb, and she was terrific in St. Peter's, as well. Later, our tour guide for the Caravaggio workshop was so lovely, connecting wonderfully with the whole family. It was one of the highlights of our trip. I would 100% recommend WIR to anyone else visiting Rome, either for the first time or for a repeat visit.

We toured the Vatican early morning with Irene and can I say that this experience was SO well worth it. Our family of 7 had the entire Sistine Chapel and galleries leading up to it basically to ourselves! Made it so special and such that we could truly take every fresco and painting in without the overwhelming pressure of 'moving on to the next one' with hundreds of people surrounding us. The Sistine Chapel is a once in a lifetime experience, with so much history and so this tour is truly not one to be missed!! 100/100 would recommend the investment.

We toured the colosseum and underground with Gigi on Wednesday and had a great time. He was so knowledgeable and fun, he really made the tour a highlight for us. I would recommend him to anyone wanting a great tour of Rome!!!--

We had the fabulous chef Marco who gave us an introduction to the neighborhood, including traditional food. He was also awesome in accommodating two vegetarians in our group. Once we arrived in the cooking school, we all had the best time deciding and implementing a favorite meal. We chose pasta carbonara (1/2 vegetarian and the other 1/2 with the traditional pork cheeks). Marco was fun, easy to be with and extremely patient. We ended the cooking with a lovely sit down in an intimate dining area with two kinds of wine. Marco even went the extra mile, giving special attention to a budding chef in our group. What a perfect experience! It was our favorite activity while in Rome.
