Our guide was very knowledgeable and passionate and her Catholic faith and history. She really made the tour very special.

Our guide, Sergio, was great. Unfortunately, the underground portion of the tour was in Italian (we speak English), but Sergio was good about quietly keeping us informed of what the Italian guide was saying, so it was great. He was also very knowledgable about the Forum, which was also fascinating. Directions were also crystal clear. I would do again.

Our experience with Walk Inside Rome is excellent! We are very satisfied with all of our activities that WIR arranged. If it wasn't the heat, my kids and families would have enjoyed it even more. First on Day 1, I enjoy how our guide Gioia did the Treasure Hunt with the kids that drew their attention at first, but since the walking and the heat distracted them, they lose interest soon. However, I personally enjoyed how she explained things in the museum. Day 2, the kids loved the cooking class with chef Sara. It was a lot of hands on experience to prepare an authentic Italian meal themselves. Other than the price tag, we absolutely enjoyed the cooking class. Day 3, the underground experience at the Colosseum was great. Glad that we were able to explore the behind the scene there and learned more stories about how the Roman's operated the fights back then. Our guide Cristina was great about explaining all the details to us and she brought the books to explain to the kids which my son really engaged. I super appreciated the fact that Cristina is a teacher and know how to talk to kids. All the skip lines to the sites really worth it. Can't imagine if we needed to wait for hours to get inside under this heat.

Terrific customer service and terrific tours. I corresponded with WIR for several months ahead of a March 2024 trip to Rome, discussing options for various tours, and they were always responsive, polite, informative, flexible, and helpful. Ultimately we booked two tours: a private early morning tour for 8 persons for the Vatican museums and St. Peter's (3 hours, kid-friendly) and a private 4 person Caravaggio painting workshop. Both were excellent. The tour guide for the Vatican museums and St. Peters spoke excellent English and was magnificent with the kids, helping to guide us through an incredibly crowded, hectic museum environment while also introducing, explaining, and contextualizing the museum and key pieces. She had just the right touch in knowing how much information the kids could absorb, and she was terrific in St. Peter's, as well. Later, our tour guide for the Caravaggio workshop was so lovely, connecting wonderfully with the whole family. It was one of the highlights of our trip. I would 100% recommend WIR to anyone else visiting Rome, either for the first time or for a repeat visit.

Exploring the underground of the Coliseum was a highlight of our trip. Our guide was excellent. She was well versed in the history of Rome and of the building. The small tour size, only 5 people, was a nice break from the usual crowds. The underground tour is not crowded and well worth the extra cost.
