Discover Rome and Italy with the best tours

Exploring the underground of the Coliseum was a highlight of our trip. Our guide was excellent. She was well versed in the history of Rome and of the building. The small tour size, only 5 people, was a nice break from the usual crowds. The underground tour is not crowded and well worth the extra cost.

Our experience with Walk Inside Rome is excellent! We are very satisfied with all of our activities that WIR arranged. If it wasn't the heat, my kids and families would have enjoyed it even more. First on Day 1, I enjoy how our guide Gioia did the Treasure Hunt with the kids that drew their attention at first, but since the walking and the heat distracted them, they lose interest soon. However, I personally enjoyed how she explained things in the museum. Day 2, the kids loved the cooking class with chef Sara. It was a lot of hands on experience to prepare an authentic Italian meal themselves. Other than the price tag, we absolutely enjoyed the cooking class. Day 3, the underground experience at the Colosseum was great. Glad that we were able to explore the behind the scene there and learned more stories about how the Roman's operated the fights back then. Our guide Cristina was great about explaining all the details to us and she brought the books to explain to the kids which my son really engaged. I super appreciated the fact that Cristina is a teacher and know how to talk to kids. All the skip lines to the sites really worth it. Can't imagine if we needed to wait for hours to get inside under this heat.

Natalia and Giulia were so helpful in every way. I started booking my trip months before and they helped me with every tour and excursion in all of the cities we went to. We had private tours in Rome, Florence and Venice and will never forget our experiences. Amazing company and amazing tours.

We did a full day private tour (4 of us). We were picked up at our hotel right on time and started at the Coliseum with the underground included. When we were dropped off at the Coliseum we were greeted by our tour guide, Marina. She was amazing! She led us around the underground, explaining all the areas and giving us details of the life of a gladiator. We then toured the upper portion of the Coliseum. She knew all the places to take great photos where there weren’t a lot of people. We then went to the Forum and learned even more about life in Ancient Rome. She then took us to a wonderful little restaurant for lunch, off the beaten path so not many tourists. Our driver then picked us up and took us to the Vatican where we toured the museum, Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basillica. Again Marina was amazing! Unbeknownst to the rest of us, one of the people in our group tried to stump her with questions and she always knew the answer. At the end of the day the driver picked us up and took us back to the hotel. Amazing day!!

This company was recommended to me and my girlfriend by a mutual friend. The two of us could not have happier with the service they provided. Our extremely friendly and insightful guide, Onofrio, met us outside of our hotel right on time for our private 3 hour tour. It was perfect. The golf cart option was a leg-saver, and Onofrio provided great information at all of our stops, while allowing us the time to absorb the atmosphere. Fantastic experience.
