Susanna took us on a wonderful tour of the Colloseum, including the underground, Forum and Palatine Hill. Her knowledge and appreciation for history were excellent. I would definitely recommend Walks Inside Rome and The Tour Guy. They sent out reminders before the tour and gave very clear instructions for our meeting place. A wonderful way to spend 3 hours in Rome.

We did two private tours with Walks Inside Rome - the Colosseum/Forum and the Vatican/Sistine Chapel and both were first rate. The guides - Domenico in the Forum and Sara at the Vatican - were polite, professional and knowledgeable and tailored a multi-lingual/multi-generational tour that satisfied everyone's ability and energy level. Both guides were also recognized by the local security professionals at each site allowing us to expedite our entrances/transit through security. We couldn't have been happier with the way each tour transpired. In addition, there was excellent communication with the WIR staff via WhatsApp - from reservation to tour completion - that walked us through reserving the appropriate tours, touching base several days prior to the tour kickoff, and being available and responsive as we connected with the guides at each site. Hands down the WIR tours were the highlight of our trip.

We did a full day private tour (4 of us). We were picked up at our hotel right on time and started at the Coliseum with the underground included. When we were dropped off at the Coliseum we were greeted by our tour guide, Marina. She was amazing! She led us around the underground, explaining all the areas and giving us details of the life of a gladiator. We then toured the upper portion of the Coliseum. She knew all the places to take great photos where there weren’t a lot of people. We then went to the Forum and learned even more about life in Ancient Rome. She then took us to a wonderful little restaurant for lunch, off the beaten path so not many tourists. Our driver then picked us up and took us to the Vatican where we toured the museum, Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basillica. Again Marina was amazing! Unbeknownst to the rest of us, one of the people in our group tried to stump her with questions and she always knew the answer. At the end of the day the driver picked us up and took us back to the hotel. Amazing day!!

This was my wife’s and I’s first time in Rome and our first time experiencing a private personal tour with priority entrance. Our tour was on June 8, 2023. This is the way to see the Colosseum and Forum otherwise you really missing out walking around yourself. Our guide was Suzanna Mariani for this fabulous tour of the historic Colosseum and Roman Forum. She is an expert guide with a degree in ancient history. She was absolutely passionate about what she shared and pointed out along the way, in particular she had charts that illustrated what the ruins looked like when they were truly standing which brought the ruins to life. Fantastic tour! Patricia was an amazing guide. Huge depth of knowledge about all things Vatican, art and Rome. Also an incredibly kind and thoughtful guide. She ensured everyone was comfortable and even asked the Swiss Guard to allow my mother (in her 70s) to take a short cut through the Vatican museum as she was wearing out. We appreciated everything Patricia did for us and all the information she shared! 10/10!
