Visiting Rome is not only about exploring its ancient architecture or diving into its collection of immortal art. It’s also about taking a closer look into the world-renowned art of eating. And if local food is your forte, why not learn how to make a traditional Italian meal? Join our fantastic English-speaking chef for an unforgettable cooking class as they guide you step-by-step through creating a fabulous 4-course Italian meal.
The experience begins with a visit to the local market where you’ll source the day’s fresh ingredients. Italian markets truly are a sensory feast. With their bright array of colors, rich earthy smells, and the almost overwhelming variety of fruits and vegetables on offer, you’ll be spending a typical morning in the shoes of a local market-goer. But don’t worry – you’ll have your own expert chef on hand to guide you through choosing your ingredients.
After visiting the market, we’ll make the short journey to the school where you’ll be welcomed with a prosecco and antipasti reception. Your cooking class takes place in one of our two schools right in the heart of the Eternal City – one a stone’s throw from Piazza Navona; the other a few paces from the Pantheon.
Once the hands-on course is underway, you’ll be perfecting the art of preparing an unparalleled pasta dish, a juicy main course, a side dish (or “contorno”) and, of course, a dessert. All the recipes adhere strictly to tradition and all will be accommodated to your preference.
To finish the day, you’ll be hosted in our dining room where you can linger over a meal made from the delicious food you have prepared. Accompanied, of course, by a fine pairing of carefully selected Italian wine!
This class has no more than 8 people per chef.
